In this section the designations are introduced that are used to talk about the part of the system considered in this description class. Consider for example a description class dealing with the temperature control of a room. In such a description class one has to talk about the current room temperature, the settings of the radiator valves or whether a person in the room or not. In order to be able to talk about these phenomena of the real world corresponding designations have to be introduced.
Depending on the way one wants to talk about a phenomenon, a designation of the following seven kinds is used.
In the following we explain which kind of phenomenon can be represented by which kind of designation and we illustrate each kind by an example. Each designation is introduced in a SIGNATURE section using a tabular-like structure.
